For years Doug has been a dynamic presenter much sought after by professional floral groups, wholesale florists, and garden clubs for his entertaining and educational talks and demonstrations. Early in his career he honed his delivery skills through Teleflora's Communication / Commentary School and Wedding Consultant School. He is a member of SAF and was inducted to the American Academy of Floraculture (AAF) in 1989.

Setting the Stage

He has been a part of Southern Retail's Design Panel among others and has conducted numerous stage shows for floral wholesale open houses. With a B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture, an M.S. in Rural and Extension Education, and years of service as a Horticultural Extension Agent with the University of Maryland, he has a special fondness for the many garden club shows and horticultural groups he has presented for.
