This centerpiece was made by filling a clear glass vase with polymer gel cubes, removing all the soil from the roots of the orchid plant, making an armature of 3 black branches wired to the vase to support the bare rooted orchid plant. The plant is put on top of the gel cubes which are moist, but not floating in water. the branches support the orchid plant nicely and will grow with the roots mostly covered with the gel cubes for many months. You just mist the orchid plant and roots(not filling the vase with water above the root level). The vases were placed on a small black framed mirror to reflect the light.
